Institute of Process Research and Development http://www.iprd.leeds.ac.uk/test.html

Opened in 2009 following an investment of £4.3 million, this laboratory provides facilities for chemical processing and small scale manufacture of chemicals to order.
We are able to deliver research and contract projects utilising:
• Industry-standard development and scale-up facilities and procedures
• 20 and 50 litre batch reactors that meet ATEX requirements for handling non-aqueous solvents on a large scale (a unique capability within UK academia).
• On-site mechanical and electrical workshops for bespoke equipment design.
• Continuous flow reactors, both commercial and bespoke with on- and off-line analytics including GC, HPLC, FTIR and mass spectroscopy.
• Parr hydrogenation apparatus capable of both batch and flow modes.
• Adiabatic calorimeters for chemical hazard and reaction process monitoring.
