The facility houses 3 electron microscopes and provides a comprehensive sample preparation service. There is also a suite of computer workstations for image processing and expertise help is available.
Equipment and techniques include:
FEI CM100 TEM - resin embedding, sectioning and staining, negative staining.
Tescan Vega 3 LMU SEM – imaging and EDS.
Zeiss Sigma SEM with Gatan 3view - serial block-face SEM, 3D reconstruction.
