In October 2012 the nu-food, Food & Consumer Research Facility underwent a £700,000 refurbishment. The facility provides excellent facilities for teaching and research within the well established key areas of Food, Nutrition and Food Marketing. It incorporates three distinct units on one site, these are:
Stateoftheart sensory laboratory and food handling facilities, these comprise:
A 10 booth sensory analysis suite for testing of foods from cooking events, research projects or product development using consumer panels or trained panels
The Culinary training suite, which includes:
The reception and multi-function rooms are in a convenient city centre location and provide direct access for the public.
The facilities are also available to the general public, Schools, Colleges and industry.
