Multiple Excitation Dual Emission Photom

Description

The equipment comprises an inverted microscope equipped with a monochromator (Cairn Instruments) capable of multiple excitation and emission fluorescence recordings. Currently the equipment is capable of measuring fluorescence from several dyes, Fura-2, BCECF and SBFI alongside simultaneous recordings of changes in cell length of cardiac myocytes. The equipment also includes the capability to measure membrane potential from cells as well as the ability to carry out voltage clamp experiments (Axon Instruments).
