FTir Spectrometer

Description

The Thermo Scientific iS10 Fourier Transform Infra-Red (FTir) spectrometer can investigate the functional groups present in a sample quickly and easily. Solid and liquid samples may be analysed using classical transmission methods or using an attenuated total reflection (ATR) accessory. The spectrometer may also be fitted with a thermo-gravimetric analyser (TGA) interface, which enables evolved gas analysis (EGA) during TGA runs. Recent applications have included monitoring the gases evolved during combustion and pyrolysis reactions in the TGA and analysis of oils derived from the thermal treatment of wastes.
